Eee...Is It December Already?!

All you really need is family and a bunch of new socks.

Hello, December. Boy, you came quickly.

Our Thanksgiving was a lovely one. The 23 lb. turkey was an ordeal to brine and roast, but it turned out great. We had an abundance of food, with lots of leftovers for everyone to take home. It was a wonderful day, and I was thankful that our family was together to celebrate the day.

We also had an early family Christmas celebration with my side of the family, since we will be in three different locations for actual Christmas. Gifts were exchanged next to the tree, including a big batch of socks for everyone from my brother.

Now that we have moved on to December, I have been thinking of creative gift ideas to give this year for Christmas. Usually I put off the whole gift thing until two days before Christmas, and end up in a frantic rush to get people presents. But not this year...I am on top of things, people!

Look out for my next post on homemade, frugal and eco-friendly gift ideas.

  2. Haha! Seems like the whole family is sporting a pair of socks. No surprise though... with all the coldness brought by December. Really feels like Christmas already! :)

  4. Your family is so great! Look at Aaron, surrounded by his ohana. Is that Stu's gf? She's cute!

I am procrastinating gifts as always. Looking forward to some simple, meaningful gift ideas.
