An Evening to Celebrate

For our 5th wedding anniversary, Steve and I spent an evening at the Hollywood Bowl. It was the Bowl's opening night for the summer, and featured Harry Connick Jr., Gloria Estefan, and Cirque du Soleil. Another notable appearance was made by Helen Mirren, one of my all-time favorite celebrities.

We brought a picnic of a baguette, Brie, salami, chicken curry salad, mini tarts (pictured above, made from this All Recipes cream cheese tart recipe), and a spicy red wine blend from Lodi, CA that we've been saving for a worthy occasion.

I love that this is nestled in the hills near our house. Can you spot the Hollywood sign in the distance? Absolutely breathtaking!
