Homemade Holidays

This Christmas, I am attempting to make as many gifts as I can. I get to be creative, put time and thought into it, and avoid the chaotic, consumer-driven malls.

For Aaron and his cousins, I made some hand-stitched felt tooth bears (from Martha Stewart). These little guys were simple and fun to make, and will fit nicely into the kids' Christmas stockings. I also learned the new skill of embroidering a French knot...exciting, I know!.

As gifts for other friends and family, I am creating some jarred goodies, such as lemon curd and orange marmalade.
