Enjoying... lots of family time with our two (we have two now!) kids. Between nursing/diapering/soothing Alex and keeping Aaron entertained, Steve and I have become quite the team of parents. This past week our family crossed over two milestones - we made it to church for the first time since Alex was born, and we took a trip to the beach. Both were successful (i.e. non-traumatic for all involved), so I suppose we are doing alright. 

Wanting... to start exercising again. I have to wait until my 6-week postpartum checkup with my OB, but am already feeling physically and mentally ready to be more active. 

Reading... Operating Instructions: A Journal of My Son's First Year by Anne Lamott. Multiple trustworthy friends have recommended Lamott's writing over the years, and I finally made my way to her hilarious, honest book on motherhood, faith, and recovery. Reading it is like having a fellow mom alongside me to share our joys and laments of parenthood together.

Missing... friends. In Hawaii and away from our Los Angeles lives, the primary thing I miss is being near some of my closest friends. I've made a conscious effort to stay connected with several people through email/phone/Skype, but nothing beats hanging out at the park with my mom/kiddos group, or having game night with our living community.

Watching... Downton Abbey. I can't get enough! From episode 1, I was immediately hooked by the array of incredible characters, witty dialogue, and perfect melodrama. But how am I going to bide my time until Season 3 airs in January? Heaven help me.

Loving... coral nail polish, fun., and generous people who have given us lots of baby clothes and gear.
